Bianca Swan has been pursuing and studying the performing arts for over 19 years. She began her journey at age 11 at the California State University Los Angeles Childrens Conservatory for the Performing Arts where she discovered that she had a unique presence and voice on the stage. From there she continued to pursue the dramatic arts while writing performance poetry, and not only did she write the finale poem but also played a lead role in the Socially Together And Naturally Diverse United Performers play called Experiences which is still being performed by Los Osos High School students under the directorship of Brian Jeffrey. After high school Ms. Swan attended University of California Santa Barbaras Acting conservatory where she played a number of lead roles including Molly in Brien Friels Irish drama Molly Sweeney, Lena in Lorraine Hansberrys urban tale A Raisin In The Sun, and in her own one woman show Voices: Memoirs of a Fat Girl in which she received departmental funding and honors distinction upon graduation. Right after her graduation from UC Santa Barbara she was awarded a full scholarship for the Theatre In England play tour and summer acting workshop. In the beautiful surroundings of London and Stratford Upon Avon in England ,she studied Shakespearean acting techniques, instructed by members of the Royal Shakespeare Company. Upon returning home to the US, Ms. Swan then attended the University of California Los Angeles Master of Fine Arts Acting program. During her time at UCLA she played a number of diverse roles, Greta in a play adaptation of Kafkas Metamorphosis, Philemente in Molieres classic play Learned Ladies, and Polly in Charles Mees modern adaptation of the Greek tragedy Phaedra, called True Love. Upon graduation from UCLA Ms. Swan went on to perform in community theatre productions including, Romeo and Juliet and A Midsummer Nights Dream. She worked as a Fine Arts Director for Abundant Living Family Church where she directed, cast, and organized large productions and instructed the Trinity Acting Ensemble. She has a passion for the craft of acting and desires to share all of her experiences and knowledge with those that share that passion.
